Course Overview

This MHFA England-approved mental health first aid training course equips managers and workplace teams with essential knowledge and practical skills. Therefore, participants are fully ready to act as Mental Health First Aiders.

Over two days, you will learn to recognise early signs of mental health challenges. In addition, you will approach sensitive conversations with confidence. Furthermore, you will support individuals in accessing appropriate professional help.

Course Content

DAY 1 - Wednesday 20 May, 9am-5pm

Session 1
Introduction to Mental Health & the MHFA Action Plan

Introduction to mental health and the MHFA action plan. In addition, we cover self-care, mental health language, and stress.

Session 2
Anxiety, Eating Disorders & Active Listening Skills

Understanding anxiety, eating disorders, and substance misuse. Furthermore, we explore self-harm and develop active listening skills.

DAY 2 - Thursday 21 May, 9am-5pm

Session 3
Depression, Suicide Awareness & Psychosis

Exploration of depression, suicide awareness, and psychosis. Therefore, you will be equipped to respond to critical mental health situations.

Session 4
Recovery, Healthy Boundaries & Your Role as an MHFA

Focus on recovery and setting healthy boundaries. As a result, you will confidently continue your role as a Mental Health First Aider.
